Crafted from hand spun cotton threads, then handwoven, then resist-block printed by hand in the Villa print - THEN naturally dyed by hand with kashish dye. Whew! Not quite a basic process, but a basics silhouette meant to be versatile, comfortable with a whimsical nod to female empowerment.
The Villa print design is directly inspired by 4th Century AD mosaics found in the Villa Romana del Casale in Sicily.
• Handwoven • Pockets • Naturally Dyed • Block printed by hand (discharge print process)

This style is naturally dyed with a kashish based dye, which means it is sensitive to citrus juice - like lemons (it will discolor the fabric). Citrus enzymes can be hiding in your natural laundry detergent so double check a hidden area to make sure the fabric is compatible with your detergent. This is the same precaution as say…not getting red wine in your whites, or bleach on your darks :)
